Danh sách câu trong bài (75 câu):

#1The moon was going down when Mowgli reached the wolf's cave. He was carrying Shear Khan's hide.
#2Mowgli?
#3Mother's eyes glowed.
#4We all knew you'd hunt Shear Khan one day. Well done!
#5A deep voice came from some shrubs.
#6Well done indeed.
#7The Ghirra ran toward them.
#8Mowgli, the jungle has been lonely without you.
#9Soon, the group of friends climbed up the hill to Council Rock.
#10Mowgli spread the hide out on the flat stone at the top of Council Rock.
#11As the wolves gathered, Mowgli beckoned Akala to lie on the hide.
#12Look well, old wolves!
#13Akala called loudly. The wolf pack had been without a leader for a while now.
#14Many of the wolves were thin and hungry. Some were sick or wounded.
#15Out of habit, they answered Akala's call.
#16They stared in surprise when they saw the tigers' striped hide on the rock.
#17A few gasped.
#18Shear Khan!
#19They looked toward Mowgli.
#20I have kept my word, the boy said proudly.
#21A skinny wolf howled.
#22Oh! Please Akala, lead our pack again.
#23We are hungry and tired of living without laws.
#24The Ghirra grunted near Mowgli's ear.
#25This is what the wolves say now. When they are well fed again, they will not listen to Akala or anyone.
#26Mowgli nodded. He didn't trust these wolves either.
#27Later, Mowgli returned to the cave.
#28He slept for a day and a night, his heart feeling oddly heavy.
#29When he awoke, Akala was visiting. So were Belu and Bagheera.
#30Everyone wanted to hear the story about the victory over Shear Khan again.
#31Akala and Grey Brother were a big help, Mowgli said.
#32You should have seen the buffalo pouring down the ravine.
#33Well, I'm glad that I didn't see the humans throwing stones at you.
#34Mother Wolf frowned.
#35I would have hunted all of them, except for the kind woman who took care of you.
#36Calm down, mother.
#37Father Wolf said lazily.
#38Mowgli has come back again. What else matters?
#39Mowgli lay his head on Mother Wolf's side.
#40For my part, I never want to see or hear or smell humans again.
#41Akala tilted his head to look at Mowgli.
#42What if the humans don't leave you alone, little brother?
#43Grey Brother growled softly.
#44Bagheera twitched his tail and glanced at Akala.
#45What made you say that?
#46He asked.
#47After last night's council, I went home along the trail.
#48Akala answered.
#49I saw Maung the bat.
#50He told me that the humans village has been humming like a bee's nest.
#51So, Mowgli shrugged.
#52The humans are often busy.
#53So, the bat saw the red flower blooming at the village gate.
#54He also saw some men sitting near it.
#55They were holding guns.
#56Akala looked Mowgli in the eye.
#57And I believe I smelled a man along our trail this morning.
#58They are hunting you, Mowgli.
#59Bagheera said.
#60But they threw me out of their pack.
#61Mowgli said.
#62Why can't they just leave me alone?
#63You're a human, little brother.
#64Akala replied softly.
#65We are animals.
#66We cannot explain your kind to you.
#67Mowgli looked down.
#68He didn't know what to say.
#69What's that?
#70Bagheera sprang to his feet.
#71He sniffed the air.
#72His body stiffened.
#73Gray brother did the same thing, sniffing the wind that was blowing from the right.
#74It's a human scent.
#75He said.
