#18Then my mom told me the bad news.

#19Luke cannot use a soccer ball now.

#20Because of his accident, Luke cannot walk, she said.

#21What do you mean?

#22I cried.

#23If Luke can't walk, then how can he play with me?

#25I said to my mother.

#26Then I began to cry.

#56I felt a little ashamed that I didn't visit him earlier, but I was glad I went to the hospital that day.

#57When Luke came out of the hospital, he wanted to do all the old things we used to do.

#58He wanted to play basketball, and he wanted to play baseball.

#59At first he couldn't do any of these things, so sometimes Luke would get angry, and sometimes he would be sad.

#60But slowly, Luke learned how to play without his legs.

#61He learned to play basketball by using a special sports wheelchair.

#62He learned how to swim without using his legs.

#63Today, with help from his family and friends, Luke can usually do whatever he wants.

#64Of course, Luke has changed a bit since his accident, but he is still a great person.
