#71The animals were kept down there.

#72We can climb down this ladder, said Cy.

#73In the middle of the floor was a large square opening.

#74There was a ladder inside the opening.

#75Cy got on the ladder.

#76Come on, Cy said as he climbed down.

#77As each child climbed down, the animals grew noisier.

#78Hush, Panther whispered to a particularly loud horse.

#79Cy headed for the barn entrance.

#80He pulled the door.

#81It wouldn't move.

#82He tried again.

#83Cy looked at his siblings with wide eyes.
