#40But really some chickens were escaping through a hole in the fence!

#41And they were laying eggs in your burn pile, Grandpa, Katie said.

#43I'm glad there wasn't a real thief!

#45Then Joy fixed the hole in the fence all by herself, Katie said with her mouth full of pancakes.

#46Wonderful! said Grandpa.

#47And tomorrow at school we're finally giving our reports on leaders, said Joy.

#48Who did you end up choosing, Joy?

#49Grandpa asked.

#50Harriet Tubman, Joy said.

#51She spent her whole life working for something important: getting slaves to freedom.

#52Good choice, said Dad.

#54Joy poured maple syrup on her pancakes, thinking for a minute.

#71I'm going to be the mayor of Willow Creek!

#76I want to be a vet, she said.

#77Those are great jobs, Grandpa said.

#78They're about helping others, just like leaders do.

#79And like sisters do too.

#80The twins smiled at each other.

#84I'm done, Joy told her twin.

#85Time to go play in the snow!

#86Katie was already by the door.

#87Catch! she said, tossing Joy's boots at her.

#88Joy laughed as she caught the boots.

#89Sometimes she wished she had an older sister.

#90Other times she wished she had a younger sister.

#91But today she was glad that she and Katie were twins.
