#21Jeff looked at her closely.

#22"Which twin are you?" he asked.

#23Katie sighed.

#24"I'm Katie."

#25"I always get you two mixed up," said Jeff.

#26Then he drove off down the road.

#27"We're totally different," mumbled Katie as the mail truck disappeared in a cloud of dust.

#28Katie liked having a sister who was her identical twin.

#29But she hated it when people mixed them up, which happened all the time.

#30"You know which one I am, don't you, Magoo?" whispered Katie.

#31Magoo sniffed her hand.

#32"That's right.

#33Joy and I smell different, don't we?"

#34The house smelled like brownies.

#35"Mail delivery!" Katie called out.

#36She read the name on the first envelope.

#37"For John Donovan from Sunshine Seed Company."

#38"Great," said Grandpa.

#39"My corn seeds."

#40Grandpa would be planting the garden soon.

#41"Here's a letter for Debra Donovan," said Katie, flipping through the mail.

#42Mom was looking at a book about Missouri birds.

#43"Thanks, honey," she said.

#44"And for Steve A.

#45Donovan, the new Green Zine," exclaimed Katie.

#46This was a magazine all about recycling.

#47Dad owned the Willow Creek Recycling Center.

#48"The rest is junk mail," said Katie.

#49"Nothing for us today, Joy.

#50Unless you want a chicken catalog!

#51It's from a place called the Cackle Farm," she said with a grin.

#52"Okay," said Joy as Katie grabbed a brownie from the table.

#53"Okay?" echoed Katie in surprise.

#54"Okay, I'll look at the catalog," repeated Joy.

#55"Really?"

#56Katie handed it to her.

#57"You're interested in chickens?"

#58"Yep."

#59Joy flipped through the catalog.

#60"Hey.

#61I didn't know chickens came in all these colors," she said.

#62"Look at this one, Katie."

#63"I don't like chickens," Katie said.

#64"You like them."

#65"You're no fun sometimes," Joy complained.

#66Katie ignored her sister.

#67Instead she followed Dad, who was carrying a bucket out to the compost bin.

#68"Dad," she asked slowly.

#69"How can you tell I'm Katie and not Joy?"

#70"Oh, that's easy.

#73Then Dad grinned.

#85"We can buy these chickens when they are tiny chicks and raise them."
