#19Arrange the blocks in a circle.

#20Use two blocks to make the door, and another for its roof.

#21Dig out the snow on the igloo's floor.

#22Now there will be more room inside the igloo, and it will be warmer too.

#23For the top, use smaller blocks.

#24Keep throwing snow out as you go.

#25Now the igloo looks like a small dome.

#26Go inside the igloo.

#27Place the last few blocks from inside.

#28Next, fill in all the cracks with snow.

#29Then, use your hand to smooth the igloo walls.

#30The igloo's door should be on an angle too.

#31It should be dug deep to keep the cold air from blowing into the igloo.

#32This also stops unwanted visitors like bears.

#33Now our igloo is finished!

#34My father makes a hole in the roof so we can cook.

#35Don't worry!

#36The fire will not melt our igloo.

#37As the hot air from the fire rises, the cold air outside immediately freezes it.

#38The snow blocks become harder.

#39We use whale fat to make a small fire.

#40Fish is my favorite.

#41We sit on animal skins to eat.

#42It is very warm and cozy inside our igloo.

#43After a good night's sleep, we are ready to hunt again.

#44For the Inuit, making an igloo takes only a short time.

#45With an igloo, we can survive the cold winters.

#46My ancestors invented a clever and unique shelter to stay in when we are hunting.

#47How proud I am to be an Inuit and to sleep in an igloo, the amazing snow house!
