#19He ran faster and faster.

#23Freddy the frog heard Bo Bo screaming.

#24Then he saw the bees.

#25Quick!

#26Jump in the pond!

#27Freddy yelled.

#28Bo Bo jumped right in, and the bees flew away.

#30said Bo Bo when he came up for air.

#31You saved my life!

#32You're welcome, said Freddy kindly.

#33This pond is my home.

#34You were lucky to be running this way.

#35Can I ask you a question?

#36Sure, said Bo Bo.

#37Why were those bees chasing you?

#38Bo Bo scratched his fuzzy head.

#39I don't know.

#40Maybe they were angry.

#41Freddy was smarter than most frogs.

#42And he was definitely smarter than Bo Bo.

#43I bet you wanted their honey, right?

#44he asked.

#45Oh yeah, Bo Bo remembered sadly.

#46Freddy thought for a moment.

#47He felt sorry for the bear.

#48Then he said, Are you hungry?

#49I know where you can catch some tasty fish, and I can catch some tasty flies.

#50He licked his lips.

#51Sure! said Bo Bo happily.

#52He followed Freddy to a stream.

#53There are lots of fish here, said Freddy.

#54Just wait and you'll see.

#55Bo Bo waited.

#56Soon he saw lots of fish.

#57Better than honey!

#58He jumped into the water to grab a fish.

#59But then he heard Freddy screaming.

#60Bo Bo dropped the fish.

#61He saw a snake hissing at Freddy.

#62GRRRRRR!

#63Bo Bo growled at the snake.

#64The snake slipped away.

#65Th-th-thank you, Freddy said, shaking all over.

#66You saved my life.

#67That's what friends are for.

#68They help each other, said Bo Bo.

#69Does that mean we're friends now?

#70Yes, I think it does.

#71Freddy smiled.

#72Let's catch some dinner.

#73I'm hungry.

#74They had a great time catching as many fish and flies as they wanted.

#75Freddy showed Bo Bo where all the fish were hiding.

#76And Bo Bo scared away the snakes.

#77The two friends sat on the bank of the stream, watching the sun set over the hill.

#78I'm glad I met you, said Bo Bo.

#79I'm glad I met you, said Freddy.

#80Then after a while he said, This is only the beginning.

#82asked Bo Bo.

#83Of our friendship, said Freddy.

#84And they watched the sun set, feeling full and happy.
