#26They lay on the floor of a small room.

#27Mandy sat up and then looked at Vinnie.

#28Does this floor feel warm?

#29she asked.

#30Yes, said Vinnie.

#31He sat up too.

#32I hope there isn't a fire, said Mandy.

#33She leaped to her feet and looked around.

#34Suddenly the door opened, and a boy entered the room.

#35He jumped back when he saw Mandy and Vinnie.

#36Who are you?

#37the boy demanded.

#38What are you doing here?

#39Uh, well, I, uh… stuttered Vinnie.

#41I'm Mandy, and this is my brother, Vinnie, said Mandy.
