#21What's he doing?

#22Mandy asked Twi.

#23He is recording the healing on a rock, explained Twi.

#24His picture proves our healers have great power.

#25We use these rocks to tell the story to our children.

#26Stories? asked Vinnie.

#27Yes, said Twi.

#28Sometimes we have bigger stories to tell.

#29So we put them on bigger rocks.

#30Come, Twi's mother called.

#31We have delicious mongongo!

#32Everyone cheered.

#33Twi brought over two bowls for Vinnie and Mandy.

#34Mandy took a sip.

#35It's wonderful!

#36she said.

#37Kashe came over and sat beside Vinnie and Mandy.

#38They all watched some boys playing a game.

#39They were throwing long wooden sticks at a round target made out of woven grass.

#40The little ones are already practicing to be good hunters, said Kashe.

#41One day you'll be a fine hunter too, Vinnie.

#42Vinnie, said Mandy, I think I know what the glowing thing is.

#43What is it?

#44asked Vinnie.

#45He didn't want to take the photo out.

#46All the villagers would see it.

#47It's a rock.

#48I saw it when I was gathering mongongo nuts with Twi, Mandy said.

#49But you didn't return home, Vinnie pointed out.

#50She thought for a moment.

#51I know.

#52It's strange.

#53You should get some rest, said Kashe, turning to the children.

#54We are moving our village tomorrow.

#55Where? asked Vinnie.

#56To a place with fresh water, Kashe answered, and went inside a hut.

#57Vinnie, Mandy whispered, We can't go with them—we have to get home!

#58The children quietly left the village and went toward the cave.

#59Nobody saw them leave.

#60Vinnie took out the photo.

#61It was glowing blue.

#62We're close, said Mandy.

#63They walked over to the painted rock just inside the cave.

#64This is it!

#65she said.

#66She could see animals and dancing men.

#67Vinnie looked at the photo.

#68But why weren't you sent home when you were here with Twi?

#69I don't .

#70Mandy began.

#71Wait— maybe because we always have to go photo traveling together!

#72she cried.

#73The photo was glowing red.

#74That's it!

#75shouted Vinnie.

#76The children fell down the dark tunnel.
