#36He wore a blue and gold headdress and held a golden staff.

#37Suddenly the Pharaoh stopped.

#38He stared at the one small standing figure.

#39When the Pharaoh lifted his staff, three armed guards ran toward Vinnie.

#40Vinnie!

#41Mandy yelled.

#42Quickly, get into the boat!

#43The guards were close, but the boys managed to jump into the boat.

#44Akhom and Vinnie grabbed the oars.

#45I'm so glad to see you!

#46Mandy cried.

#47Me too, gasped Vinnie.

#48As they paddled away, Mandy looked up at the pyramid again.
