Bước 1: Xem & Lắng nghe

Bé hãy lắng nghe giọng bản ngữ và quan sát hình ảnh hoạt hình sinh động của video bên trái.
Sau khi xem, bé có thể bấm vào từng số câu để nghe lại câu yêu thích!

#6The judge sneezed loudly.

#7She sneezed so hard that the box flew off her head.

#8It landed right on top of Sparky!

#9Sparky was scared.

#10He didn't like being trapped in a dark box.

#11So he ran faster than ever.

#12Look at that box!

#13One of the kids laughed.

#14It has legs!

#15The boy was right.

#16Sparky's legs stuck out as the box moved across the floor.

#17It looked like the box was running all by itself!

#18Soon all the kids were laughing as Sparky raced around the big room.

#19Even the judges laughed.

#20The judge who had tried out my magic thinking box laughed the hardest of all.

#21Sparky raced under a table and knocked it over.

#22Finally Josh caught up with him, and he lifted the magic thinking box off his hamster.

#23Sparky! he said.

#24I'm so glad I caught you!

#25I ran up to Josh, and a group of kids followed me.

#26I bet I know what Sparky was thinking, I said.

#27What? a bunch of kids asked.

#28Sparky was probably thinking, 'Help!

#29Get me out of this box!' Some kids laughed, but I sighed.

#30I might be right about Sparky's thoughts, but I wasn't going to win a prize.

#31I hadn't even had a chance to show the judges how my invention worked.

#32Soon it was time for the judges to choose the winners.

#33One judge announced third prize.

#34A boy who had invented a bicycle fan to keep him cool on hot days won that.

#35Next the judge announced second prize.

#36This prize goes to Susie Johnson for inventing a new use for old CDs-wearing them as earrings!

#37All the kids clapped as Susie went up to claim the red ribbon.

#38Everyone waited for the judge to announce first prize.

#39First prize and one hundred dollars goes to Jenny Chen for her hamster bath!

#40The kids shouted and whistled as Jenny accepted the money.

#41The judge put a big blue ribbon on Sparky's cage.

#42I was happy for Jenny.

#43She deserved to win.

#44But I was sad for me.

#45It was clear that I wasn't a very good inventor.

#46I hadn't even won third prize.

#47When we got back to our apartment building, I told my mom about the Invention Convention.

#48Jenny won first prize and one hundred dollars, I said.

#49That's wonderful!

#50Mom said.

#51I know, I said.

#52I looked down.

#53But I was hoping to win so you wouldn't have to rob a bank.

#54Mom looked totally shocked.

#55Tate came out of our room to see what was going on.

#56Wait a minute, Iggy!

#57Mom said.

#58I'm thrilled Jenny won.

#59But what did you say about me robbing a bank?

#60Don't listen to Iggy, Mom, said Tate.

#61He's just inventing stories.

#62But I heard you on the phone, I said to Mom.

#63You said you would have to rob a bank!

#64My mom frowned, trying to recall what I was talking about.

#65Oh, I remember! she said at last.

#66Then she looked at me and sighed.

#67Iggy, she said.

#68You'd better sit down.

#69You too, Tate.

#70Uh-oh, I thought.

#71We were about to find out something.

#72And it sounded like it was something bad.
