#22Everyone laughed, remembering how long it had taken to color Asia.

#23Molly, Ruby, and Evan volunteered to try out my new invention.

#24I showed them how to tape their crayons inside the round part of the machine.

#25Move the machine around so the crayon colors, I explained.

#26Let the machine do all the work!

#27Evan started filling in North America with blue.

#28This is really hard, Iggy, he said as he moved the automatic coloring machine around.

#29Ruby frowned.

#30It's even harder than coloring by hand!

#31Well, at least your hand doesn't get tired, I pointed out.

#32Look, my crayon broke!

#33Ruby said with dismay.

#34Mine did too! said Evan.

#35Molly looked at me.

#36Iggy, this is a brilliant invention, she said.

#37I grinned proudly.

#38Yes, said Molly.

#39But there's only one problem.

#40What's that?

#41I asked.

#42It doesn't work! said Molly.

#43I hated to admit it.

#44But Molly was right.

#45That day when I got home from school, I felt really bad.

#46My coloring machine was a big failure.

#47I threw the machines in the back of my bedroom closet.

#49Iggy threw his invention junk in my half of the closet! yelled Tate.

#53I wished I could think of a really wonderful new invention-one that actually worked.

#54There was a knock on the apartment door.

#55It was Molly.

#56Iggy, Caswell has disappeared again! she cried.

#58He loves to go exploring in our old apartment building.

#59He likes to look for hidden treasure, but sometimes he gets lost.

#69We looked in the basement and up on the roof.

#70We even looked in our tiny backyard, but all we saw was a cat.

#72That was when I got my next brilliant idea!
